Here at TheWesley we believe in giving back. We established the business with the ethos ‘Make all you can, save all you can, give all you can’, which is a quote from the founder of the Methodist Church and the namesake of our hotel, John Wesley.
We take this very seriously, we don’t consider small philanthropic donations or promise 5% donations from the profits as this is not a practice to be considered ethical. We personally donate over £1.3 million a year.
We have also set up systems where you, our guest, can donate easily. Like the donation box on the counter in The Garage, where you can put your change from your morning coffee, that helps us feed the homeless around Euston area. Or using half the service charge from meals in the Savannah restaurant and bar to provide direct scholarship for developing country students, that has helped support more than 10,000 students in the past 67 years.
The reason we do this instead of just profiting is because we believe the world is a better place when we help those in need and work to make the world a better place for everyone. This goes back to quote at the core of our beliefs. “Make all you can,” We do this by providing the best quality servers we can.
“Save all you can,” We do this by using the most energy efficient appliances, recycled materials and reusing as much as we can.
“Give all you can.” We do this each and every day, whether this be with the food we donate, the scholarships we fund or with the donations conservation efforts.
And when you stay with us you too are a part of this process too.
