Key 2026 London events and planning your trip
London can feel like a completely different city depending on when you visit. Choose the right weekend and you could land in the middle of a major festival, a one-night-only gig, or the buzz that comes with a big matchday. Pick a quieter stretch and you’ll have more space for galleries, neighbourhood wandering and long lunches.
Here are some key 2026 events local to The Wesley. If you are interested in any of these events please contact the official organisers directly but The Wesley is a perfect place for an overnight stay to make the time away from home an even bigger memory-making experience. Do remember to confirm details with official organisers once line-ups, kick-off times and performance schedules are published.
If you’re currently deciding where to stay, The Wesley has two NW1 locations that are better located to certain event venues and locations. For example, our Camden Town hotel is a 2 minute walk from KOKO the iconic music and events venue located on Camden High Street.

Book your event ticket
If you’re coming to London for a specific gig, festival or match, lock in the ticket first, then build the rest of your trip around it. That one decision shapes everything else: which nights you’ll be out late, which days you’ll want a slower pace, and what kind of location will make the weekend feel easy.
It’s also worth treating big summer weekends as “high demand by default”. For major festival dates such as BST Hyde Park, Wireless Festival and Notting Hill Carnival, booking accommodation earlier usually gives you more choice and a better price per night.
Keep your itinerary realistic. London is best when you give yourself time for queues, travel, and the simple joy of stopping for a coffee or a cocktail and people-watching between plans.
Choosing your base: The Wesley for event weekends
The Wesley has two locations in NW1. If your plan is heavily Camden-led (gigs, venues and that late-night energy), you’ll probably want to stay in Camden to keep your evenings simple. If you’re arriving by rail, moving across London, or mixing events with lots of sightseeing, The Wesley Euston as a base can make the practical bits of the trip smoother.

Planning tips for a smooth 2026 London event weekend
A good event weekend has rhythm. You want enough structure to make the big moments happen, and enough breathing room that the city still feels enjoyable.
If your evening is the main event (a gig or festival night), plan your daytime around it. Keep the day flexible, eat earlier than you think you need to, and avoid stacking too many “must-dos” right before you need to be somewhere on time. If your trip is built around a daytime event, do the opposite: protect your morning, then leave the evening free for whatever London throws at you.
And whatever you’re coming for, double-check the official details as they’re released. The event dates above are a helpful starting point, but timings, venues, line-ups and fixture specifics can change.
