Day Use Rooms at The Wesley, 11am to 6pm

A day use booking gives you a room to yourself between 11am and 6pm, with no overnight stay attached. We run it at both The Wesley Euston and The Wesley Camden Town, and the hours are the same at each. Check in from 11am, check out by 6pm, and in between the room is simply yours.

We introduced it because so many of our guests were spending their London days in the gaps: an early train in, a meeting that doesn't start until three, an evening service home. A concourse seat and a coffee will get you through that, but not comfortably, and not if you need to change, prepare or make a call in private. A day room gives you a desk, a shower, a bed if you want one and a door that closes behind you.

Day use rooms and rates at both hotels

We release day use on particular room types rather than across the whole hotel, so there are only ever a handful available on any given date.

At Euston the difference between the two is space and bed. The Standard Double has a double bed and everything you need to settle in for the day, while the Superior Double has a king-size bed and more room around it, which helps if you're spreading out papers or sharing the room with a colleague for part of the afternoon. Both have free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a proper workspace and an ensuite bathroom. You'll find the full range on our rooms and suites at The Wesley Euston page.

Euston or Camden Town, and how to choose

It usually comes down to where you need to be at four o'clock. You'll find us at Euston on Euston Street, about two minutes from Euston Square and three from Euston railway station, with Warren Street around five minutes away and King's Cross St Pancras closer to fifteen. If your day is built around a train, book that one.

The Wesley Camden Town is our smaller property, 38 bedrooms on Plender Street, roughly three minutes from Mornington Crescent and seven from Camden Town station. It's the better choice if your plans sit in Camden itself. One thing worth knowing before you book: our restaurant and our 24/7 fitness centre are both at Euston, so a Camden day room is a quieter and more self-contained sort of day.

When you want a meeting room instead

If what you really need is somewhere to sit down with other people, a bedroom isn't the answer, and we'd rather tell you that now than after you've booked. At Euston we have meeting rooms in small, medium and large sizes, along with meeting pods you can hire by the hour, which suit two or three people talking something through far better than a bedroom does. Our meetings and events team will happily point you to the right space for the number of people and the time you've got. Think of a day use room as your own room for the day rather than a venue.

Getting here, and a couple of practical things

Neither hotel has a car park, which is deliberate. We sit within a few minutes of the Underground at both sites and we'd always encourage you to come in by train or Tube, both because it's kinder and because it's genuinely easier. Parking restrictions apply on the surrounding roads from Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 18:30, so if you do drive to Euston, the George Mews car park is about three minutes away on foot.

Two other things. We're cashless at both hotels, so bring a card rather than notes. And if your bag is bigger than the day calls for, we can store it for you, though at Euston that's for the day itself rather than overnight.

Because only a few rooms go out for day use, the earlier you ask, the better your chances of getting the one you want.
