London Pride 2026: How to Make a Weekend of It

London Pride 2026: How to Make a Weekend of It

Pride in London is back on Saturday 4 July 2026, and if you're planning to be there, it's worth thinking about the weekend as a whole, not just the parade itself.

Over a million people are expected to attend, which means the city fills up fast. Getting your base right, and booking it early, is one of the most practical decisions you'll make.

Why the weekend matters more than the day

The parade is the centrepiece, but Pride in London 2026 runs across the full weekend from 3 to 5 July, with events spread across Soho, Vauxhall, the West End and beyond. There are free stages, community celebrations, ticketed nights and plenty happening in between. If you're travelling from outside London, a single day rarely does it justice.

Arriving on the Friday gives you time to get your bearings, explore the city at a calmer pace and head into Saturday feeling ready for it. Staying Sunday means you can recover, revisit your favourite spots and leave on your own terms rather than fighting for a train home at 7pm with the rest of the crowd.

Picking the right base

Where you stay shapes how the weekend feels. Euston is one of London's best-connected rail hubs, which makes The Wesley Euston a practical choice for visitors coming in from outside the city. You arrive, drop your bags and you're already central.

From Euston, the tube puts you within easy reach of the parade route and the main concentration of Pride events. The station also means your Sunday departure is straightforward, with direct services to much of the country.

The Wesley Euston has a range of room types to suit solo travellers, couples and small groups, from Standard Single and Standard Double rooms through to Superior Double rooms and the Executive Suite. Self check-in kiosks mean arrival is simple, and the 24/7 fitness centre is there if you want to start Saturday morning on your own terms.

A note on getting around

Pride weekend is one of the busiest days on the London transport calendar. Several central stations become exit-only or close entirely during peak hours on the day of the parade. It's worth checking the TfL website in advance and planning tube routes that avoid the obvious pinch points. Building in a little extra time and flexibility on Saturday will serve you well.

What to expect on the day

The parade sets off at noon and follows a route through central London, finishing on Whitehall with the main stage at Trafalgar Square. Stages are dotted across nearby areas including Soho and the wider West End, and the atmosphere continues well into the evening. Getting a good viewing spot along Piccadilly means arriving early, with the route opening to spectators ahead of the noon start.

Everything on the official route and at the main stages is free. Beyond that, the city's bars, clubs and community spaces host their own programmes across the whole weekend.
